1. Data controller

2. Data collected and purposes

Booking data (first and last name, email, phone, stay dates, number of guests): needed to manage your request and the accommodation contract.

Payment data: handled directly by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. We never store full card details.

Check-in and ID document data: collected to comply with the legal obligation to report guests to the Italian police authority (Alloggiati Web) and for tourist tax purposes.

Self check-in: if you request self check-in, we collect each guest's personal details and the front/back images of their ID document, uploaded through the private link sent by email. Alternatively you may take part in a WhatsApp video call with the host: the call is used solely to verify the identity of people entering the property and is never recorded.

Service emails: we send transactional emails related to your stay (booking confirmation and receipt, check-in instructions on arrival day, and an optional review request). We never send newsletters or promotional messages.

Data sent through the contact form: used solely to reply to your enquiry.

3. Legal bases

Performance of a contract (booking and stay), legal obligation (guest reporting, tax and accounting duties), legitimate interest (site security and fraud prevention), and consent where required.

4. Data retention

Booking and accounting records are kept for the period required by law (normally 10 years for tax documents). ID document images uploaded for self check-in are stored in a private area accessible only to the owner and are automatically deleted within 7 days after check-out. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months.

5. Recipients

Data may be shared with: Stripe (payments), email, hosting and cloud storage providers, WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose the identity-verification video call, the booking portal your reservation came from, public security and municipal authorities for legal obligations, and our accountant. Data is never sold or shared for third-party marketing.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection at any time by writing to info@affittacamereconegliano.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

7. Cookies

This website only uses technical cookies strictly necessary for its operation (for example the Stripe payment session, the admin login session and the language preference). Such cookies do not require prior consent.

We do not use profiling or third-party advertising cookies. Some pages load maps (OpenStreetMap) and the Stripe payment form: these services may set their own technical cookies and log your IP address for security reasons.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; disabling technical cookies may prevent the site from working properly.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to the admin area.
